Last Christmas card...

Hello Friends!! I know Christmas is long gone and today we are all ready to welcome 2013. I just want to share my last Christmas card with you all, which I made for my neighbors. It was fun to mass produce.

I am posting something on my blog after a long gap. We all were going thru nasty Flu bug. Hubby and my elder daughter are still down with fever. Not a nice way to spend time during the family holidays...lol.

I embossed using  some UTEE to make the banner. It gives a wonderful dimension.
Playing along the challenges at:
The Play Date Cafe: colors
WOW embossing powders: New Year

Supplies:
Cardstock: (Solar white) Neenah, Stamps: (countdown) CAS-ual fridays stamps; Dies: (Stitched mat rectangles) Lil' Inker designs; Embossing powder: UTEE (stampendous)

Happy New Year

Happy Tuesday everyone!!! Sometimes life gets so busy specially with kids. This is the last school week here, so my daughters have lots of happenings in their schools, which of coarse keep me busy. I have so many challenges, which I would love to play along but no time.

Anyhow, I got time to finish some cards. My daughter won some new  CAS-ual fridays stamps, which are amazing. Love the quality and the sets. I took one of them and created this card full of color and sparkle. It looks really pretty in real because of all the glitter embossing powder I used on the sentiment, fireworks and skyline's outline.

I embossed the sentiment, fireworks and even outlined the skyline using WOW embossing powders. Love their quality and would really like to try some non glitter powders. I sponged slight shadow behind the row of houses to give the effect of light glow, for the window lights, I just used copic marker on white CS.

Playing along the challenge at WOW embossing powder blog.

Supplies: Cardstock: (enchanted evening, black) PTI; Stamps: (Countdown) CAS-ual fridays; Dies: MFT; Embossing powder: (black twinkle, red glitz, silver bells, green glitz, blue glitz, copper sparkle) WOW embossing powders; Copic: Orange

Friends Forever

Isn't this saying perfect "Sunday means Fun-day". Well!!! I am having fun today, relaxing and catching up with the housework....n then my younger daughter has Sports. I was thinking I have to be away the whole day but then we took shifts with our neighbor, so I am home creating and my neighbor will bring my daughter back.

I wanted to play along the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge, love the sketch but somehow did not get the chance and finally today I am just in time. I have to thank Kim for it cos I just got the new stamp yesterday evening and had to play with it.

For my card, I started off with some masking, inking and stamping. I thought about all the four season's and the sentiment is perfect for the special friend I have in mind....

My first card for today has snowflakes cut using pattern papers. The look nice to me. I placed them to create a graphic pattern! I also used the clear Gelly roll pen to all the edges of the snowflakes for the subtle shine.

For my 2nd. card I used the stitched square mats, another MUST have dies. to create the pattern in the background, I masked it, using some snowflake die cuts and then sponged some distress inks.

Lil' Inker Designs December Release {Day 1}

Its December and guess what!! Its a perfect weather here in my part of the World....There is snow all around, which makes me feel good apart from the fact that its difficult for my younger daughter to cycle to the school. I love the shimmering snow when the Sun rays hits directly on it and that shimmer is the inspiration for my card today.

So with this I welcome you to the first day of Lil' Inker Designs December release hop. Its a fabulous release and you are gonna love it. You should have come via the very talented Emily's blog. If not go to Laura's blog and start over.

For my card I used lots of glitter in white and light blue. Love this technique, its a bit time consuming, so to get the glitter in correct place but looks Awesome in real life :)

Beautiful Sunset

Hello All!!! I know, I know, its been quite some time. Hubby isn't here for about 10 days now, so I have to spend a lot more time with the kids. Well I enjoy that so much :) I am playing with my new Cameo too. May be will share somethings soon.

So here I want to share a card, which I made. I got my new stamps from the last win. I was looking out of the window a few days back and sky looked almost like this during sunset. I wanted to re-create that magical feel. To quite an extent, I got successful after a few trials.

So I used distress ink and Distress markers for it. Used a lot of Glitter and stickles, which I could not capture in the photo. This looks stunning in real:)

Thanks for dropping by!!!
